Thank you for joining us here to explore God’s ways as it relates to growing, thriving and experiencing Him through adversity. Please do more than just read. Share your perspectives! We desperately want "FINDING GLORY Wednesdays" to be a conversation among fellow sojourners rather than a one-way delivery of ideas and information from us. God is doing big things through the intersections of your life with others.
Today’s scripture and discussion question are:
"Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the desert these forty years, to humble you and to test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. You may say to yourself, 'My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.' But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today." DEUTERONOMY 8:2-3 and 17-18
Memories play an important role in shaping our vision for the future. Throughout scripture, God commands us to focus our thoughts on good things (Philippians 4:8), continually renew our minds on the truth (Romans 12:2), and remember his promises and faithfulness (Joshua 4:21-24). How does remembering experiences of God's presence and faithfulness in your life affect your attitude, choices and behavior?
