FINDING GLORY Wednesday

This new online community format allows us to come together and share what is going on in our lives so that we might be encouraged by one another, learn from one another and pray for one another. Questions from the 7-week Bible Study curriculum Finding Glory in the Thorns: Group Discussion Guide serve as a starting point for our conversations. However, everyone is encouraged to get involved in this discussion whether you have read any of the Finding Glory resources or not.

Today’s scriptures and discussion questions are:

"I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant will also be. My Father will honor the one who serves me. No my heart is troubled, and what shall I say? 'Father, save me from this hour?' No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour. Father, glorify your name!" JOHN 12:24-28

"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I lve in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." GALATIANS 2:20

Sometimes the daily logistics, pressing needs, the desire to care for someone, and even our passions consume our lives. How do you prevent these things from consuming the very nature of who you are?

How do these Bible verses influence your answer?
